The Re-Affirm Project is a new initiative from Affirm United/S’affirmer Ensemble. Over the next year, our team will be working towards creating resources for communities of faith relating to spiritual and religious harm/trauma. One of our goals with this project is for communities of faith to be prepared, educated, and ready to welcome folks who have experienced harm. Another one of our goals is to provide communities with resources so they do not continue to perpetuate cycles of harm, knowingly or unknowingly.
In order to create the most effective and meaningful resources, we are collecting the experiences of those who have experienced harm at the hands of an institutional church, a theological framework, or a spiritual leader. We will be collecting stories and experiences to inform our creation of resources.
Our team is gratefully accepting stories and experiences from folks across the country. Please see the link below or scan the QR code to access the survey.
